About this Graduate |
From Ken:
Hi my name is Kenneth "Tickleman" McMillian and I am a
Producer/Engineer/Drummer. I attended the Recording Institute of
Detroit in Eastpoint Michigan where I became a certified Associate
Engineer and Pro Audio Engineer.
Currently I work mostly with Cubase, Acid Studio, Reason, and Protools. My current work to date
has been mostly with my band "The Grey Level" where I serve as the
drummer. The genre that we seem to be around most would have to be
alternative rock. We have played a number of shows to date and are
planning on playing a lot more in the future. I am also involved
in a side project called "Crisis Underway" with the lead singer of
The Grey Level. We play more experimental and alternative music in
which we use more melodic tunes and sounds. When I'm not with the
bands, I spend the time in my home studio where I produce Rap,
Hip-hop, and R&B music. I try my best to record whatever comes to
mind so that things can remain fresh. This is the area in which
I'm willing to acquire more customers. I would really like to work
more with singers so that I am able to get the production for that
genre down. I have worked with a number of hip-hop artists in the
past, but to no result.
I am finding that rushing my way in this
business is not always the best, so I am taking my time learning
the craft and collecting my production tools. So to those who are
interested in working with me, leave some info and I'll get back
with you. God Bless

From His Instructor:
A class valedictorian status is awarded to the graduate with the
highest grades, and this describes Ken well. When Ken works on a
project he approaches it and gets the results of a professional
who has been in the field for some time. He has the ability
to work with, create and "hear" different styles of music.
