About this Graduate

From Howie:

My name is Howie Herbst, and i am certified in both the music producer program and the recording engineering/production class. I am well versed in music theory, and play several instruments including guitar, bass, as well as some piano and drums. my band, Cerilia, is currently poised on the verge of our upcoming summer tour, and we are working on the release of our first album. Apart from that, I also have been working on building a work-for-hire studio with some other members in my band. My goals for this year are primarily to have our album released by the time we go on tour, and to have Pinegrove Studios open and accepting clients by the end of the summer.

From His Instructor:
As you can see from his write-up, Howie is ambitious, but I also know he will keep steadily working at them until they are accomplished.  Bringing additional skills to the table (such as video production and carpentry) makes his goal of opening his own recording services studio very attainable.  Howie was accepted as an assistant RID Instructor because of he works well with people and wanted to expand his knowledge base in music production.

 September 28,2007 Update:
Howie received RID Certification as a Mastering Technician and will be mastering for clients of Superdisc Mastering.  He has also been assisting RID classes, coaching newer students through their assignments.
